Nidana Heights Editorial-cum-Publication Policy


Publication of Articles, Research based papers, Reports, Reviews, Travelogues and White Papers:


which may fulfill the following criteria:
  1. Article/Paper etc. should be on one of the aspects of social, cultural, economical, educational and health conditions of the people of Haryana or a region of Haryana and Haryanvi speaking belts of India, preferably based on research.

  2. It can be in any of the following scripts: Hindi, Haryani and English.

  3. It should primarily sustain the generation gap and gender sensitivity.

  4. Those feature/articles etc. will be preferably accepted which may depict various aspects of the culture of Haryana in an objective, analytical and inspiring manner and discuss the status of:

    1. Life and times of the peasant and/or farmer class and his associates such as farm laborers, artisans, crafts persons, masons, sanitary workers

    2. Adverse effect of pesticides and insecticides residues in the environment particularly on the health of human beings, wild life and domestic cattle

    3. Causes of infertility of Land

    4. Women (urban and/or rural) and their status (economic, employment, health, skill development and education etc.)

    5. Equity and gender sensitivity with reporting about discrimination, child health and sanitation (urban and/or rural)

    6. Sedatives and intoxicating substance use (urban and/or rural)

    7. Positive and creative initiatives taken by social and religious organizations

  5. It should be based on verifiable facts, figures, illustrations and data etc. complete with references with source citation.

  6. The language and style of the feature/article should be lucid and simple (font should be unicode if article is in Hindi or Haryanvi language)

  7. Articles/features etc. received prior to the date of any change in our editorial policy will be dealt with accordingly

  8. Authors should provide due credits to illustrations, photographs, images, drawings, tables, graphs etc. wherever necessary and complete in respect of name, address, contact number and email ID (s).

  9. The upper limit for the lenght of an article should be 9 to 10 pages and minimum should be 3 pages. Content in this length range is published under "Main and Recent" section of Homepage of website.

  10. Articles less than 3 pages in length are published under "NH Notes/Reservoir" section of Homepage of website.

  11. Article more than 10 pages in length are considered as small to big volume books and published under "Study Center" subsection of "e-Library" section of website in the form of PDF copy, which is by default available to reader and he/she is free to download and save the copy of same.

  12. If author wishes a "read-only option" for their content published on Nidana Heights, they should write about it in their email along with file of article. Nidana Heights publishes such content in form of images with "copy and save" options disabled.


Notifications:

  1. Screening: A mail message confirming the status of the paper (s) with Editor’s feedback as well as queries etc. will be sent within ten days of the receipt.

  2. Selection of material (Text, illustration, photograph, graph etc.): On receipt of clarification and feedback from the author (or the main author if it were a multiple author paper, the response of the Editor will be sent regarding acceptance or rejection.) In case of rejection, the material, presuming that it is hundred per cent in soft form or digital data will be destroyed/deleted. Had it been a hard copy, we would have liked to return on the author's cost as per the practice.

  3. Publication Mail: When published a confirmatory mail will be sent on the email ID provided by the author with a link to nidanaheights@gmail.com so that the author (s) are able to see the publication.

  4. The Editor will be delighted to receive the response of the author after publication.


Data protection, sharing, breach of trust and secrecy:

  1. www.nidanaheights.com has made adequate arrangement for protection of its data and it will neither be shared with a third party nor transformed in any other form without the permission of and information to the author (s).

  2. The names of the peers have been enlisted on the website.

  3. The material once used with the consent of the author cannot be withdrawn. However, if it is published elsewhere or shared, the administrator would be glad if an indication about it is sent.
