Dhanana village is situated on Bhiwani to Jind State Highway Number 14 at 8 kms away from Bhiwani city HQ.

Introduction: Village is counted among the largest villages of Haryana, perhaps in first 10 most populous villages of state. Village boasts of its history, great and unique architecture, fort and spy kind of Havelies, Paras, Choupals and Burjs, which you can feel and realize with your very first step towards village interiors.
There is a famous Haveli with seven doors and its construction was so pact that it has the record of never being theft. All attempts of theft made by various and notorious theives fell of claims and they were found lost inside Haveli. Only the residents of Haveli knew the ways in and out of it.
History: Famous historian Choudhary Deshraj Thakur mentions a famous saying on history of Dhanana village as:
सूही बांधे पागड़ी, क्षत्रीपण का बाणा,
नोसै नेजे भकड़ते, घुड़ीयन का हिनियाणा|
तुरई-टामक बाजता, बुर्जन के दरम्याणा,
बापोड़ा मत जाणियो, है ये गाँव धनाणा||
Which means people of village dhanana are Kshatriy by charactor and dress, who always carry a needle in their turban. An army of 900 horse-riders full of energy and synergy is ready for day-night attack. When this army marches to battle ground "Taamak" - a saaj is sung on wavering lyrics of a folk music instrument called "Turai" and they are capable of conquering the high walls of any fort and burjs.
As village is and has been the head office and prime center of activities of "Jaatu Khaap", it is said that during the rules of mughal-nawabs, many surrounding villages knelt to pay taxes to the then rulers including one famous village of Bapoda but
"Jaatu Khaap Sena" of village Dhanana not only refused it even ruined down the nawab empire of that time.
During the emergency of 1976, villagers put a sevre oppose to the then government of India. Government representative felt short of exits for their safe escape from village, in which late Ch. Surender Singh and Late. Ch. Bansilal ji were to name.
Social Institution: Village belongs to; in fact is the Head Quarter to very prominant "Jaatu Khaap" of Haryana. Khaap has proudly led as governing body in lead to serve "Haryana Sarv Khap Maha Panchayat" several times. This honor is a rotation of power process of all Khaaps of India and whenever Jaatu Khaap got this responsbility, they put their best to do justice to the role and responbility both.
