Location:
Lalit Kheda village is located at 17.7 kilometer away from Jind district and 28.3 kilometer away from Gohana situated at Haryana State Highway 10. Village is 4.8 killometer by road ditance and 3.1 kilomter vertical distance from her parental village and P.O. Nidana.
Border Sharing Villages: Nidana, Bhairon Kheda, Nijaampur, Ludana, Morkhi, Bhidtana and Chabri.
History: In order to reduce the increasing population pressure from big villages Nidana; in the year of 1868, the then emperor of Jind Empire late. Maharaja Raghuvir Singh called the people from villages of Nidana, Ludhana and Bhidtana to lay down the establishing stone, "The Dada Nagar Kheda" for a new small habitant on north-eastern fields of Nidana land premises. As a result which the land of older Nidana was divided between Nidana and Lalit Kheda.
Current Lalit Kheda: After few years of establishment of Lalit Kheda, the habitants from Ludana and Bhidtana returned back to their native villages. Now Lalit Kheda is solely comprised of descendents of Nidana ancestor’s. Village is situated in north-eastern landscapes of older Nidana, now known as the village of Lalit Kheda.
Current relations between two villages: Both villages Lalit Kheda and Nidana, enjoy a strong bond of brotherhood (locally known as Bhaichara), which can be seen during various:
- Family functions like marriages. People invites each-other for "Chulha Nyond", which is a local custom of family functions.

Grievances like death, funeral, terhavin, starhvin and chh-maahi etc.

People organize time-to-time "Panchayats" of both villages for matters of unity against other villages or for mutual interests such as elections
Social Institutions:

Culture:
Similar to other villages in Haryana and North India, Lakit Kheda got its "Dada Nagar Kheda" (small temple without any statue or idol dedicated to ancestors of the village). Villagers believe and worships Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman as their prime Gods.

Employment: Main income of village is from agriculture. People have a passion for defense services so major chunk go into defense services. .
Agriculture: Village has around 1000 acres of land, of which more than 90% land is highly fertile, remaining 10% semi-dessert. Main crops of the village are Wheat & Rice. Sugarcane, Cotton, Bajra.
Lalit Kheda Farmer Field School: Village is proudly known (alongwith its parental village Nidana) for its distinctive agri movement against use of pesticides in crops. This movement has brought the laural of being one of the most advanced village in north India for the awareness of its farmers especially the women farmer wing.
