History: A research work is going on to get the exact history of village. However, adjoining villages Puthi, Baas, Ugalan, Bhaklana & Badchappar are inhabited by Pannu gotra. It is believed that, about 200 years back few families from one of these villages started living at the present location. These families were constantly harassed by the bad elements of adjoining villages and land was in abundance so these families decided to invited few friends to live with them.
Thus five brothers of luhach gotra from village Nandha of Dist. Bhiwani moved to Mohla and made it their abode. It was decided that Luhach will cultivate 2/3rd of the total land of the village and rest will be cultivated by the Pannus.
Social Institutions: Unlike other villages of Haryana Mohla is not associated with a Gotra Khap, although it is associated with
“Satrol” a group of 70 villages. So Satrol is a Khap defined on the basis of region rather on any Gotra. It shall be noted that these seventy villages observe the Bhaichara, and marriages between the people of all of these seventy villages are prohibited. (List of these seventy villages is being compiled and will be updated shortly. Some of these are Badchhappar, Mohla, Kanikheri, Bhaklana, Ugalan, Putthy, khanda, Baas, Bhatol, Kharkara, Petwar, Narnaund.

"Shiwalya" means temple of Lord Shiva.
A “Samamdhi” dedicated to one of the ancestors, who was a learned person and is regarded as saint is also worshipped by the villagers on the eve of “Purnima” (night of Full Moon).
Population: Since beginning Mohla is purely a Hindu Jat Village inhibited by Luhach & Pannu gotras. As it was a custom to invite people of other casts to inhibit the village for support services Mohla also has a fare share of all the other casts such as Brahmins, Baniya, Balmiki, Chamar (Ravidasi), Kumhar, Naai, etc. Now a day’s most of the baniyas have migrated to cities only one Baniya family is living in the village.

It is bifurcated into three clans from fields of our village, one branch of which goes to Mitathal-Bhiwani, second goes to villages of Baas and third goes to fields of Narnound Tehseel next villages after Mohla. The junction point of these three canals gives an impression of
